Willow is a friendly 7 year old bay mare from the West Douglas HMA in Colorado that was dissolved by the BLM in 2015. Along with some of her herd mates she was tamed by us and adopted. In August 2020 her adopter relinquished her and she is now with our trainer in Santa Fe. Willow quickly regained her trust in humans but is still a bit wary of equipment. She has likely worn a saddle before but it may not have been a positive experience for her. Willow is both sensitive and spirited. She likes to run but also to stand for a good scratch. She leads well, accepts a saddle pad and picks up her hooves for cleaning. Willow is around 13 hands, so a rider should not weigh more than 140 lbs. She's continuing her saddle training but available to the right adopter.
